As the second Siyum Harambam was being planned in 1986, organizers wanted to ensure a large crowd would attend, as per the Rebbe‘s directive.
Rabbi Shmuel Butman, Chairman and organizer of the event, wrote to the Rebbe with a request – would the Rebbe give dollars to the participants?
The Rebbe then sent 6,000 dollars to the organizers, to be distributed as a precious memento to all those who attended.
At a meeting last night, organizers of this year’s upcoming Siyum Harambam, which will take place on Lag BaOmer at 770 Eastern Parkway, have decided to recreate that same historic moment.
All those who share with their friends, family and acquaintances about the upcoming Siyum will be entered into a raffle for a precious dollar of the Rebbe.

The double celebration will take place on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 7:30 PM and will feature superstar singer Avraham Fried.
The Siyum will be followed by the annual community bonfire, which will be moved from its usual location on Kingston Avenue to the main thoroughfare Eastern Parkway, which will be shut down for the festive and exciting event.
