In the late 1960’s in New York City; certain neighborhoods of Brooklyn were experiencing intense racial tensions.
In the winter of 1968, New York City Mayor John Lindsay came to Lubavitch World Headquarters at 770 Eastern Parkway discuss the situation with the Rebbe.
An audio recording of that meeting on 5 Kislev, 5729 – November 26, 1968 was recently discovered by Rabbi Chaim Shaul Brook of Lahak and restored by JEM’s archival team.
It appears on JEM’s Living Torah video magazine – Volume 119 Program 475.

Now, before tomorrow!
The sound quality and restoration work needed to make it so, is super.
Keep up the exceptional work.
Moshiach Tomorrow!
The Rebbe’s recollection of an earlier conversation when the Mayor evidently shared his experience teaching in a Church.
Its important to note the Rebbe’s referencing it as well the Rebes reference to the Mayor’s study of the bible.
Lindsay was a terrible mayor he made Dinkins look good.you just need to read the history of New York and see how bad he was
