Reb Moshe Weintraub, who survived the Holocaust to build a proud Jewish family, passed away on 27 Tammuz, 5780.
He was 95.
Reb Moshe was a Holocaust survivor, the only survivor from his large family from Poland.
In 1946 he entered the Holy Land on the last ship that the British allowed into Israel. He started to build a new life for himself and fought for Israel’s independence.
He was known for his giving heart, and for his strong Emunah in Hashem, which got him through hard times.
He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Chana Pinson, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren in the US, South Africa and Israel.
He is predeceased by his wife, Tova Gittel Weintraub, and his daughter Rivkah Shirazi (South Africa).
Mrs. Chana Pinson (Mendel) will be sitting shiva at her home, 1315 Carroll Street.
