Reb Moshe Spitzer, a father and grandfather who lived in Crown Heights and later in Paris, France, passed away on Thursday, 25 Elul, 5785.
He was 63.
Reb Moshe Spitzer was a chassid who lived and exuded the Rebbe’s ways. He was an incredibly humble and kind-hearted person, always giving everything he had, and even that which he didn’t, to whomever needed.
Reb Moshe lived in Crown Heights for many years and, afterwards, moved to Paris, France. He would travel every year to the Rebbe for Sukkos until Shabbos Bereishis.
He will be remembered as a source of simcha, light, inspiration, and chesed in the lives of everyone who had the merit and privilege of knowing him.
Reb Moshe is survived by his wife, Yaffa; his daughter, Sheindel Elyahou; his three sons, Menachem Mendel, Levi Yitzchak Chaim, and Yankel Yisrael Izik; and three grandchildren.
The levaya will take place on Sunday, 28 Elul, 5785, at Givat Shaul, Jerusalem, Israel, at 3:00 p.m.
A fund has been set up to assist his family.

I had the honor to have met Rabbi Spitzer the Succos after I got divorced where he gave me so many words of comfort and strenght. His calm demeanor and loving disposition will never be forgotten. Dear Sheindel and family, I am very sorry for your loss. May his neshama have the highest aliya and may you find comfort.
Your old neighbor at 840.
BH new him many years, such a great person. he grew up in our city of salzburg.
I cannot remember as a Bochur a Tishrei with the Rebbe without you. We knew if Moshe was here Tishrei is near. His smile and always being upbeat and Bisymcha was well know. I opened COL today and cannot believe you left us at such a terribly young age. The world will miss your smile and Hishkasrus. May he be a Mailitz Yosher for his family
