A general shiur was given on Wednesday at the Chabad Yeshiva in North Miami Beach by a visiting maggid shiur.
Rabbi Moshe Wolfson, mashgiach ruchni of Yeshiva Torah V’Daas and Rav of Emunas Yisrael Congregation in Brooklyn, spoke for the bochurim.
With the Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Leibel Schapiro beside him, he engaged in a deep discussion that quoted from Gemara, Halacha and known commentaries.
Rabbi Wolfson then told over a few fascinating personal stories he encountered with the Rebbe during his regular visits to 770 Eastern Parkway. (Some of the stories have been reported by COLlive).
He then went on to say that “we have a great zechus to live in “Ikvisa Demashicha” (the footsteps of Moshiach), referring to the final period before the ultimate redemption.
According to one participant, Rabbi Wolfson said “we must continue to follow in the Rebbe’s teachings.”
If you’ve seen the JEM video of Rabbi Wolfson at dollars, you should know that the moment recorded there resulted in two mofsim for Rabbi Wolfson, one the very next day, and one after Gimmer Tammuz. Rabbi Wolfson told that story in his shiul at his seudas hodaah. Too long to write here. What I will say is that the very first words the Rebbe said to him even before he had said anything was, “Yofutzu maayonosecho chutzo.” His shul Emunas Yisroel attended by many hundreds each and every day is based upon Rabbi W’s approach to kavono in tefilloh.
