Brothers Moishy and Yossi Young, Chabad bochurim from Florida, were in the Fort Lauderdale Airport on Sunday, heading to New York to spend Yud Alef Nissan by the Rebbe and to participate in the 120 Mitzvah Tank Parade.
Not wasting time, the two began doing Mivtzoim in the airport, asking fellow travelers if they are Jewish and if they would like to put on Tefillin.
One man that they met listened to what they said about putting on Tefillin in honor of the Rebbe, and then introduced himself.
It turned out the bochurim had approached Jewish Congressman Ted Deutch, a Democrat who represents Florida’s 22nd District.
The Congressman told the bochurim, “I love what you are doing,” and then said he was thrilled to put on Tefillin, the bochurim told COLlive.com.
“After putting on Tefillin, he gave us his card and said, ‘if you ever need anything, call me,'” they said.
