If you told him you were in pain tears would immediately well up in his eyes.
He had no sense of any caste system. Every Jew was on his level. Every. Single Jew.

Exactly!!! He left an impression on my daughters who went to seminary in Israel. He was the real ‘thing’. So much to learn from.

Growing up my father would talk about his mashpia, R’ Zushe, who made sure he was boki in the Frediekeh Rebbe’s Zichronos and Lekutie Diburim, Later I got to meet and farbreng with R’ Zushe in 770. He never lost focus, he would counted the days (and unfortunately months and years…) since we last saw The Rebbe. He spoke Hiskashrus. One of my favorite Dvar Torahs from him was about Dasam and Avirom, R’ Zushe explained that They were “holy” Jews. They were Jewish Managers who took upon themselves the suffering of Klal Yisroel. they were very kind & charitable… Read more »
