Rabbi YY Jacobson, renowned lecturer and dean of TheYeshiva.net, visited the HASC Summer Camp in the Catskill Mountains, run by the HASC organization which works throughout the year for children with special needs.
Rabbi Jacobson, who is known for his oratory skills and inspiring talks, called the visit “transformative, incredible, inspiring and moving.”
Rabbi Jacobson remarked that he was especially moved by “the 550 counselors tending to the children with so much selfless love, empathy and warmth, connection and passion.”
“Here, you see the truth of the Jewish people,” he said. “Here you see the depth of our connection, of our love to each other.”
Rabbi Jacobson thanked the leaders, directors and staff of the camp, “for giving me the privilege and the zechus to be able to see Klal Yisroel at its best,” he said.

Rav Jacobson’s pearls of wisdom, feelings, emotions and chizuk are truly inspiring!
We sooo appreciate that you share your Torah and talent with us. May Hashem bless you and give you the strength to keep teaching Klal Yisroel till 120.
Judah Mischel, exec. director of the camp, has close and long family ties to Chabad. He is working hard to bring the Modern Orthodox closer to Chasidus.
Last year I was blessed with a special Neshama. A DS son. You can clearly see how they are so pure and eidel. Anyone who sees my 1 year old son stops and stares and says they see a special soul. Their neshamas didn’t come here to fix themselves they came to fix those around them and make them better people. They are our generals as the Rebbe said.
One can not understand the meaning of selfless love and compassion until they visit Camp Hasc.
Moshiach will definitely go first to camp Hasc!
Judah is also a big Chasid of Rebbe Moshe Weinberger of Aish Kodesh in Woodmere, leader of neo Chasidus, who is also a big friend of Chabad.
