Family and friends from near and far rejoiced with Rabbi Yitzi and Dina Hurwitz Motzei Shabbos, as they celebrated the Bar Mitzvah of their youngest son, Sholom, in Crown Heights.
Shliach Rabbi Yitzi Hurwitz, who is battling ALS, traveled from his home in Los Angeles to New York this week, to celebrate his son’s Bar Mitzvah and visit the Rebbe’s Ohel in Queens.
The joyous and emotional Bar Mitzvah took place at Lubavitch Yeshiva Hall, and was organized by dear friends of Rabbi Yitzi and Dina, former classmates and the Shluchim Vaad of the Hurwitz Family Fund, which leads the fundraising efforts to support Rabbi Yitzi’s medical expenses.
The Bar Mitzvah was arranged through the generous sponsorship of various vendors, musicians, singers and supporters.
