Rabbi Yitzchok Yadgar, a longtime devoted Shliach and community leader in northern Israel, passed away on Tuesday, 29 Tammuz, 5783.
He was 85.
Rabbi Yadgar was the Shliach to Taanach in Israel. He also served as the Menahel of Chabad mosdos in Avital, Israel, where he was the principal of the local school.
In his youth, Rabbi Yadgar became close to Chabad through Rabbi Shmuel Elazar Halperin.
He attended Tomchei Temimim of Lod.
After his marriage to his wife Simcha, they moved to Avital, where they joined the school faculty.
The couple thought to move to Kfar Chabad for the Chinuch of their children, but the Rebbe instructed them to remain in Avital and continue to influence the people there.
He was a longtime devoted educator who impacted generations of students.
Rabbi Yadgar also served as the leader of the Chabad community and Shul in Avital.
He was predeceased by his wife Mrs. Simcha Yadgar obm.
He is survived by his children, Shterna Sarah Chaiby – Rechovot, Israel, Rochel Kill – Gan Ner, Israel, Rabbi Shimon Yadgar – Kfar Chabad, Israel, Rabbi Shmuel Yadgar – Beer Sheva, Israel, Rabbi Moti Yadgar – Tzfas, Israel, Penina Levy – Migdal Ha’emek, Israel, Chanie Edrei – Jerusalem and Mendy Yadgar – Crown Heights.
The levaya will take place Wednesday, at 5:30 pm in Gan Ner, Israel.
