Rabbi Yitzchak Morderchai Abikasis, a resident of Kfar Chabad, Israel who served as Menahel of Kfar Chabad Yeshiva for many years, passed away on Wednesday night, 21 Adar, 5778.
He was 64 and had battled a terrible illness for 2 years.
R’ Abikasis was a beloved educator for the past 35 years, serving as Menahel in the Yeshiva in Kfar Chabad and later in Petach Tikvah, Israel
He was known as a tremendous Baal Chesed who helped anyone and everyone, who never refused any request for help.
He is survived by his wife Chana and children, Oshra Elfassi – France, Yael Edrei – Kfar Chabad, Avraham Abikasis – Kiryat Malachi, Nati Abukasis – Crown Heights, Miri Kadosh – Crown Heights, Rivka Segal – Kfar Chabad, Esther Gloiberman – Kfar Chabad, and Bracha Lipsker – Kfar Chabad.
The levaya took place Thursday in Israel.
Miri Kadosh will be sitting Shiva in Crown Heights, 742 Montgomery St, apt 2AA, entrance from Albany Avenue.
Visiting hours are from 10 am – 3 pm.
