Rabbi Chaim and Sora Jacobs, senior Lubavitch Shluchim in Glasgow for 45 years, were interviewed on a popular daily program MacAulay and Co. on BBC Radio Scotland.
The producers were looking to speak to a married couple who work together in daily life. As the shluchim are famous for their numerous projects which they work on together they were interviewed on the show, hosted by comedian Fred MacAulay.
Rabbi Jacobs stressed the great importance of married life rather than just working as ‘partners’. Mrs. Jacobs took the opportunity to explain the importance of giving each person their own space while explaining the value of always having each other around most of the time.
Rabbi Jacobs explained the background of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement and the virtues of the Lubavitch run “L’Chaim’s” Kosher Restaurant in Scotland, that provides a service to the community and beyond.
“We cannot preach to the community to eat only kosher, unless we give people the means to do so,” the Shliach explained.
The Jacobs explained that the strength of their relationship is that they both take special delight in all the achievements of the other. There is never rivalry, but sheer pride in what the other has accomplished.
