Rabbi Yehuda Tzvi Weisblum, a descendant of Chassidus Gur, passed away on Thursday, 21 Adar II, 5779, on the Yartzait of his ancestor, Rabbi Elimelech Melizensk.
He was 84.
Born in Poland to Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchak and Chana Reizl Vaisblum ZT”L, descendant of the Rebbes of Kalib, Ziditshov and Stretin (Hes named after the first Rebbe of Stretin).
He was a seventh generation direct descendant of the Noam Elimelech ZT”L.
He is survived by his wife Rachel, and his children: Toby Rubinfeld, Bnei Brak, wife of Shaye Rubinfeld (owner of the Sova Smachot bakeries), Chaitzy Daitch, Bnei Brak, Miri Cohen, Bnei Brak, Srulik Weisblum, Beit Shemesh, Nechama Ravitz, Bnei Brak, Shifrale, Bnei Brak, Rochi Surasky, Kiryat Gat; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his siblings Mrs. Pnina Slonim – Crown Heights, Rabbi Uri Weisblum – Haifa and Mrs. Rivka Weinberg, Tolner Rebbe’s wife – Yerushalayim.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Batya obm.
He was predeceased 3 and a half years ago by his older brother Rabbi Chaim Naftali Weisblum, rabbi of the Neve Sha’anan neighborhood in the large Israeli city of Haifa, for over 50 years.
Mrs. Slonim will be sitting Shiva in Boro Park.
