What happens if you ask Rabbi Dr. Abraham J. Twerski about his tie? You get insights for life.
The noted psychiatrist and author of more than 60 books was asked the question during last year’s annual Weekend Retreat and Shabbaton in Boca Raton, Florida.
The elder rabbi, a white bearded chossid, was wearing a tie with Snoopy, the pet dog of famous comic strip character Charlie Brown.
Rabbi Twerski replied with a joke but then told of his friendship with Charles M. Schulz, the American cartoonist best known for Peanuts, widely regarded as one of the most influential cartoonists of all time.
In speaking about their exchanges and his awe of Schulz’s work, Rabbi Twerski shared two interesting life lessons.
