Av Beis Din of Jerusalem Rabbi Chaim Yehuda Rabinovitch was in Germany to test the bochurim learning smicha at Yeshiva Gedola Berlin.
He spent Shabbos with the bochurim and a group of Baalei Teshuva learning in the Chabad institution.
Berlin’s Head Shliach Rabbi Yehuda Tiechtel told him that some of them are students in university who dedicate part of their day to learning Torah, halacha and Chassidus.
On Sunday, Rabbi Rabinovich gave a shiur as part of the “Torah Tag” – a monthly program for Jewish residents who wish to learn.
He went on to test the Talmidim-Shluchim group on hilchos melicha and told the Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Uri Gamson that he was satisfied with the answers.
