The governing party of Germany, the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), invited to its summer party in Berlin not only government representatives and members of parliament but also the Rabbi of Berlin Yehuda Teichtal.
The festive event thus also brought in Jewish spirit and showed Jewish affiliation to Germany, tolerance and cultural understanding.
Rabbi Teichtal said greetings for the New Year and blew the shofar.
In his speech he reminded of Rebbe’s words and of the Jewish way of facing challenges: With a positive attitude and trust in G-d.
