Rabbi Sholem Matisyahu Lapidus, the dedicated director of the Toras Emes Cheider in Yerushalayim, passed away on Wednesday, 1 Kislev, 5784.
He was 50.
Rabbi Lapidus served as the director of the Toras Emes Cheider in Jerusalem, and was known as a respected Mashpia and member of the Chabad community in Beitar Illit.
He educated many students in Torah and Yiras Shamayim and was known as an example of a Chosid who influenced many.
Rabbi Lapidus traveled to Germany about three few weeks ago for the wedding of his son. During the week of Sheva Brachos he was injured in a car accident. Many around the world united in saying Tehilim in his merit while he fought for his life.
A few days ago, after it became medically possible, he was transported back to Israel and, sadly, this morning he passed away.
He is survived by wife Rivky, and children: Mushky Wolff – Odessa, Ukraine, Mendy, Levi, Shneur, Yossi, Miriam, Osher, Sara and Shira.
He is also survived by his parents Rabbi Daniel and Tova Lapidus, Crown Heights.

I’ll never forget his soft, almost timid “m’git zich an eitzeh…?” as he walked around the zal checking in on the guys during seder iyun…
Hashem should comfort all who knew and cared for him…… especially his wife and children.
