Rabbi Shmuel Goldman, a resident of Crown Heights who was a lawyer and Torah scholar, passed away on Friday, 25 Sivan, 5782.
He was 66.
Shmuel was a lawyer by profession, who loved learning Torah and was a great scholar.
He completed semicha twice and was a knowledgeable Shochet, Mohel, and Sofer.
He was a member of the Beth David – David Gershon Congregation of Crown Heights (Rabbi Ruben’s Shul) on New York Ave and Empire. Shmuel was very active in the shul and was known as the Shul’s ‘candyman.’ He loved to learn at the Shul shiurim and never missed a shiur. He would always arrive at the shiur early and learn with gusto.
Shmuel had an amazing sense of humor and knew how to always make people laugh. He was a loving and devoted husband and father and a wonderful friend. He will be deeply missed by all those that knew him.
He is survived by his wife Nava and sons, Moshe and Yehudah.
He is also survived by his mother Rosalie, and his sister Rhonda.
The Levaya will take place on Sunday at 9:45 am in front of 770.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, there will be no in person Shiva in New York.
