While many Chabad communities around the world have already had their Siyum Harambam celebrations, Brazil will have one this week with a special guest.
Under the auspices of Chabad-Lubavitch of S. Paulo, a large event on Monday, 25 Adar, is being organized by the Talmidim Hashluchim and Hanhola of the Yeshiva Lubavitch.
Shluchim from across S. Paulo are expected to attend the grand celebration which will be held at the elegant ballroom “Buffet Franca” and will have seating for both men and women.
The event will be a joint celebration of 110 years since the Rebbe’s birth, and the 30th cycle of the daily learning of Rambam as instituted by the Rebbe.
The guest speaker will be Rabbi Abraham Shemtov, Chairman of Agudas Chassidei Chabad International and the Rebbe’s Head Shliach to Philadelphia and Washington, DC.
Organizers said there is a tangible excitement in the air as the city prepares for this monumental celebration, and great crowds are expected.
Simultaneous translation of Rabbi Shemtov’s speech into Portuguese will be available.

To # 4 I’m Not sure how many times rabbi Shemtov was I’n brazil but I know he was here many years ago when the president of brazil signed a proclamation I’n honor of the rebbe lekovod shnas hashmonim but either way it is still definitly historic
