On Yud Gimmel Tishrei, the Yahrzeit of the Rebbe Maharash, a special program was arranged for the out-of-town guests who have travelled to New York for the month of Tishrei.
Organized by the Vaad Hatmimim organization, the special event took place in the Crown Heights Kollel throughout the 24 hours of the day.
Monday night started with a talk by known author and a former “choizer” Rabbi Simon Jacobson who focused on topics pertaining to the Geuloh and Moshiach.
After the Shiur there was a Farbrengen held with Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Zilberstrom, Rosh Yeshivah Ketana Chabad of Kiryat Gat, Israel.
Throughout the day on Tuesday, the bochurim who have been participating in the Vaad’s special learning program took tests on the material they learned during the past 2 two weeks.
On Tuesday evening, the Rebbe’s Choizer and 770 Mashpia Rabbi Yoel Kahn gave a Shiur on a Maamar of the Rebbe.
The Shiur was followed by a special video of the Rebbe from Tishrei 5736 with never before seen footage supplied by JEM.
The highlight of the evening was a grand Farbrengen with a special guest: Rabbi Avrohom Shemtov, Chairman of Agudas Chassidei Chabad International and the Rebbe’s Shliach to the White House and Philadelphia.
The bochurim sat enthralled for hours as Rabbi Shemtov, flanked by Rabbis Azriel Chaikin and Sholom Ber Futerfas, told them of the beauty and meaning of the Dor Ha’shvii.
Heads of Vaad Hatmimim R’ Yudi Shmotkin and R’ Tzvi Altein we also present at the Farbrengen.
