Daniel Benjamin, a student from South Africa who has been with the program for the last 2 years and had just completed his last test, is just one of a dozen students who had been tested by Rabbi Dovid Schochet of Toronto yesterday.
“Experiencing this level of learning online, and the rigorous test with Rabbi Schochet, is not something we take for granted. The learning is extremely thorough and insightful, and the personal interaction with Rabbi Wilhelm is a great plus,” says Daniel.
This test on Hilchos Taaruvos came after months of toiling and dedicating time to an otherwise already busy schedule for these talmidim. Shluchim, teachers, businessmen, a doctor, and other individuals whose desire to receive Smicha brought them to this Smicha program led by Rabbi Nachman Wilhelm for over a decade.
“It’s an amazing sight,” says Rabbi Wilhelm “to see so many people worldwide looking and yearning to learn Torah and Halacha. We are privileged to be the pioneers of providing such classes online and having taught hundreds of talmidim over the years.”
