Rabbi Mordechai Anati, founder and director of the 770 Moshiach Center in Lauderhill, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, 7 Av 5780.
He was 64 and passed away suddenly in his sleep.
Rabbi Anati, who worked as a businessman and was very charitable, asked to become a Shliach to which the Rebbe replied: “Amen. Besuros Tovos. Hatzlacha rabba.”
He went on to open a shul and center where many Hebrew speaking Jews frequented to connect and grew in their Yidishkeit, learn Torah and Chassidus. He was a father figure to many Israelis there.
His center included a Smicha program where bochurim would learn for rabbinic ordination along with embarking on Mivtzoim visits in the area.
In recent months, Rabbi Anati had a heart condition, and he passed away suddenly during the night.
He is survived by his wife Michelle, daughter Hannah Gajer and son Bentzion Anati.
Baruch Dayan Ha’emes.
השם ירחם עלינו
Greeted everyone with a smile!
He was an amazing man. Can’t believe he’s not here anymore.
I knew him personally and it’s an understatement to say what a happy person he was. Every single time somebody came to our shul, he welcomed them with open arms and invited them to his home and his shabbos tish. His simcha, Ahavas Yisroel and Chayus knew no bounds.
The world lost a beautiful person.
Ad Mosai?!!
יחי אדוננו מורנו ורבינו מלך המשיח לעולם ועד
He really made things happen , this makes no sense .
This Golus is cruel! He was an extraordinary human being, huge baal tzedakah and treated every single person with dignity. To him titles and yichus didn’t matter. We lost a tzaddik and a special humble chossid of the rebbe.
It still isn’t registering
I hope moshiach comes today 😞
Baruch deyen emes. I am so so sorry
Words are not enough to describe how much rabbi anati gave his pocket , energy , life and time to the semicha program for the bachurim . He was a chossid through and through . Rebbe , take care of his eishes Chayil and his family .
Bde I can’t believe what I see Hashem can you please tell me Until when do your precious diamonds have to go We need them here and it is painful so Rabbi Anati a pillar of positivity and light A true chossid that many souls did ignite Full of love and life He would embrace everyone bringing down the walls of pain, frustration and strife I can’t imagine the immense pain his children and wife are going through now Hashem just explain me and help me understand I truly demand Moshiach today May his family only know good from now… Read more »
What a tremendous loss during these very sad nine days….Hamokom yenacheim eschem bsoich shaar aveilei tzion vyerushalyim!
No words. Moshaich now!!
Ad motai!how long can this go on for!rabbi anoti such a devoted shliach and chosid!what a loss for us all of the true example of what it means to be a chosid!but v’hachai yeten el lebo.we need to all take Inspiration from this great man who gave over his whole entire life to bring moshiach!let’s all give a hand to make moshiach our mission
In places we have traveled, we have met so many people whose lives were impacted by this chosid. When couples or bachurim expressed their wish to move to Florida just to stay close to him but knew that, just like the Rebbe, he expected them to go out on shlichus themselves, there is lots to be said of his greatness. Not knowing him well, he would always kiss and hug me when I met him in town. Didn’t matter politics, a true mentch, doing the rebbe work. Hopefully the kellios in inverray can come together and understand each others positions. This for sure will bring nachas to the rebbe especially in the 9 days. Even before tisha Beav in yerushalim!
Moshiach now!
Rabbi anati had such a good hart, he would always have a smile, and help whenever somone needed.
We will miss you!
We need moshiach now!
המקום ינחם אתכם בתוך שער אבלי ציון וירושלים
The pain is enormous
Does anyone know the levaya plans?
The most sincerest shliach around. No one will ever know how much he contributed to this world because he was a humble soul.
Does anyone know the levaya plans?
He’s being flown tomorrow (Wed) night. There will be a ceremony at Beis Moshiach tonight at 9pm.
Boruch dayan ha’emes. He had the crown of a good name.
May Hashem comfort his family among the mourners of Tzion and Yerushalayim.

I was once in a restaurant eating a meal. When I went to pay they told me that Mrs anati already paid the bill when she saw me in the restaurant. Rabbi anati was a malach. He took me into his program even though my parents could not pay . 100 free and treated me like a king . From him I learned how to be a chosid to live with joy al pi Torah and chasidus . Rabbi anati , my children are a credit to you !

Rabbi Anati was not a regular shliach, he had such a strong positive effect in his small time in this world.
I had the honor of being rabbi Anati’s daughters friend growing up and to this day. I grew up going to their house almost ever shabbos. He was always so kind to me and greeted me with a smile every time he saw me. He has done so much good for this world. Rabbi Anati and Michele are the most giving human beings in the world. They were their for my family during a hard time. My heart goes out to them. I love you Hannah ♥️

I had the pleasure to meet Moti Anati several times. He epitomized being a true vanguard for the Rebbe’s causes, especially Mivtza Moshiach. He was well known for portraying the Rebbe as MHM in
an open, clear way that was very believable particularly to the Israeli immigrants in South Florida.I am saying this as an American born BT who lived in Eretz HaKodesh and am familiar with the cultural nuances and differences
Very saddened to hear the news
He had true ahavas yisroel
Rabbi Motti always had a smile and a pleasant countenance. He was a towering beacon of ahavas yisroel.
What a special giant! A real chossid Baal chesed and a Baal tzedaka. He exuded so much happiness and kindness. Humble amd selfless. So much to learn. Dedicated himself to his community and their needs. Affected so many boys in his smicha program. He created a home for them. So much to learn from him. Moshiach now!
He was a father upon all. My brother was a counsler in his day camp this year. He would give everyone atenttion even little kids. You might say about someone that you know him personly, but with him everyone said that! If is was not for him I would not be liking life in Florida. It is a hashgacha protis that we are in Israel so we are going to attend it even though it is a 3 hour drive from our destination. We are going to miss him so much harav motti! Moshiach now Yechi Hamelech hamoshiach!
Rabbi Anati was a Amazing human and a perfect example of how good a person can become. This is a great loss, somehow the world feels a little less Holy without you. Thank you for all you do.
