Rabbi Meir Lerer, a Lubavitch businessman and elder member of the Chabad community in Nachlas Har Chabad in Israel, passed away on Wednesday, 6 Kislev, 5780.
He was 75.
Rabbi Lerer was known throughout the community as a baal chesed. A prominent businessman, he founded the ironworks company “Signon,” which grew to a large, successful company in which he employed many fellow Jews.
He is survived by his wife, Doba and children, R’ Binyomin Lerer – Beitar Illit, Israel, R’ Avremi Lerer – Ashkelon, Israel, R’ Yossi Lerer – Kiryat Malachi, Israel, Mrs. Chana Wilenkin – Ashkelon, Israel and R’ Mendy Lerer – Ashkelon, Israel.
The levaya will take place today, leaving from his home in Kiryat Malachi at 9:00 pm, to Shamgar Funeral home in Jerusalem.
