Rabbi Manis’ Girls Only Shabbos

A unique Shabbaton for post-Seminary Chabad girls will be taking place in Morristown, NJ, over the weekend of January 20-22, 2012.

Organized by Rabbi Manis Friedman‘s Chassidus Academy, the Shabbaton is promising to be an inspiring experience for girls, covering many topics of their interest.

Rabbi Friedman will talk about relationships, happiness, confidence, ego, self esteem, resolving conflict, “not taking yourself too seriously” and more.

“Every girl can use a shabbos with Rabbi Friedman,” says one of the organizers. “The mood will be peaceful and the talk invigorating. If you haven’t done it yet – it’s time.”

Rabbi Friedman of Minnesota, renowned for his unique combination of wit and wisdom, insight and clarity, will answer the questions many young girls in frum communities are living with, which, he says leads to lack of happiness.

“The purpose of this weekend is to resolve all unanswered questions so that you can proceed with joy, so you can have some Simcha in your life,” Rabbi Friedman told COLlive. “To find the answers to those pesky questions that have been taking your joy away.”

Girls nowadays have many questions, he explains. “‘How do I live life to the fullest?’ ‘How do I make a difference?’ ‘What’s most important for me to focus on at this stage in my life?’ We will discuss and answer those questions and more.”

The Shabbaton is geared for girls who have learned Chassidus and are doing the right things, but may still feel they are lacking clarity, organizers said.

One participant of a past Shabbaton described the experience: “There is something about the way the Rabbi slowly warms up to an idea or concept over many hours…ripping it apart… and putting it back together with a deeper understanding than you’ve ever had.”
