After accompanying Russian President Vladimir Putin on a high-profile trip to Israel, Chief Rabbi Berel Lazar tended to his community members from Moscow.
Lazar’s annual men’s trip to the Holy Land took place last week and was organized by the Fleishman Peles VIP production group.
The tour began in a training base of the Israel Border Police where they were welcomed by Brigadier General Roni Ohana and Rabbi Menachem Ofen, a Chabad activist in the security forces.
The Russian Jews then watched an air show by the Israeli Air Force and continued to Jerusalem in 7 private choppers, viewing the Temple Mount from above.
The day ended with a late-night chassidic farbrengen in an IDF base in southern Israel. A meal was provided to all the soldiers, who later joined in for a joyous dance.
During an elegant meal, Russia’s Head Shliach specified the importance of observing Shabbos and keeping Kosher “to the fullest.”
Sitting alongside his community members, many of them wealthy businessmen, Rabbi Lazar stated: “It’s either you get a house near the shul or you build a shul near your house.”
It brings us all a lot of nachat to see the photos.
I truley respect Rabbi Lazar for everything he has done, as the articel shows us.. he is pretty hooked up with the gelt… but unlike many others… he will still spend 10 hours during a bitter cold night, getting a lonely widow a meal.
he should be everyone’s role model
You do such great work!~

I mean airshows, helicopter rides, guns ~ army bases. Wow great job.
a falafel and coach buses just would not make the cut.
Rabbi Lazar I admire you greatly for catering to your communities needs. Hatzlacha Mekol halev
magav is police not army, the army base which he did go to was that of the commanders course.
