Sholom Hurwitz, who recently celebrated his Bar Mitzvah, visited with the Rebbe’s secretary, Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky on the morning following his unforgettable appearance at the Kinus Hashluchim banquet.
Sholom’s father is Rabbi Yitzi Hurwitz, the Chabad Shliach who is battling ALS disease and has been inspiring the world with his positive attitude and his articles on the Parsha and about marriage.
Unable to physically participate in the annual Gala Shluchim Banquet, Rabbi Yitzi wrote a special Dvar Torah message using eye movement on a Tobii Computer that uses laser-based software in his home in Los Angeles, California. His son Sholom movingly delivered his father’s remarks to the crowd of 5,800 participants.
In the emotional meeting on Monday, Rabbi Krinsky shared with the Bar Mitzvah boy a dollar from the Rebbe, and gave an additional two dollars for his father and mother.
Rabbi Simcha Backman accompanied Sholom on his visit with Rabbi Krinsky.
