Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky, Mazkir of the Rebbe and Chairman of Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch, has commissioned the writing of a new sefer Torah this Sunday.
The scroll is being dedicated to his parents, R’ Shmaya and Etta Krinsky OBM in honor of their 100th wedding anniversary which was on the 13th of Av.
Gathered at his Crown Heights home, the sofer Rabbi Moshe Klein guided family members and a few friends in writing the first letters on the parchment.
The Torah is expected to be completed by this summer.
R’ Shmaya and Etta Krinsky’s 100th wedding anniversary will be next summer, at which time there will be a “Siyum Sefer Torah”.
Wish we could have been there! Thank you uncle Yudi for pulling through with this project and we really hope to be at the siyum!!
The Needham krinskys
We knew Mrs Krinsky (Yudel’s mother) when we lived in Boston. His father had just passed away when we moved there, but his legend lived on. Everyone spoke about his wonderful merits.
My husband worked for the Krinskys at Menorah Poulty Plant and we got to know many of their siblings.
They raise a large FRUM family in America when times were hard. Kol Ha kovod to them.
