Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Vice Chairman of Merkos, consoled the family of Mrs. Shevy Piekarski OBM, Chabad Shlucha in Bogota, Colombia, during their week of shiva.
Rabbi Kotlarsky, who met the family alongside Crown Heights Beis Din member Rabbi Yosef Braun, spoke passionately about the mesiras nefesh that Shluchim live with every day.
He told about his journey of when he personally visited Bogota, Colombia in the 1970’s upon the directive of the Rebbe to him, and how it led to meeting with philanthropist Mr. Sammy Rohr, which started an unprecedented wave of support for the Rebbe’s Shluchim.
Shevy was a dedicated Shlucha and loving mother to her dear children.
