Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Vice Chairman of Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch, announced a series of new programs and activities during the gala banquet of the International Kinus Hashluchim on Sunday.
Speaking in front of a large crowd at the New Jersey Expo Center, Rabbi Kotlarsky shared how he is battling a severe illness and thanks his medical team led by Dr. Eli Rosen and Dr. Jonathan Sussman.
Rabbi Kotlarsky then made a dramatic announcement, vowing to double and triple his efforts to continue to build Chabad Centers and spread the light of Judaism in every corner of the world.
Rabbi Kotlarsky announced that The Simcha Fund, which has helped Shluchim who are celebrating a simcha in their family, has been restarted, and will continue to distribute much-needed funding, he announced.
Rabbi Kotlarsky also said that 360 Shluchim will receive start-up funding to be able to buy and set up a library in their Chabad House. 120 new Mikvahs will be built, and 120 new Shluchim couples will be going out to the world to bring the message of Torah and Mitzvos and the coming of Moshiach.
36 new sifrei Torah will be written, in honor of the Rebbe and the Rebbetzin, given to 36 Shluchim who do not have their own Sefer Torah.
120 new Hebrew schools will be started, and 1,200 pairs of Merkos Shlichus bochurim – 2,400 young Rabbis – will travel around the world during Jewish holidays, helping Jewish people learn about and celebrate Jewish holidays.
“We will complete this project by the end of the Rebbe’s 120th year, and 120 million Mitzvos will be delivered to the Rebbe,” he said.
This is being done, “So that no Jew is left behind, and that every Jew knows to say, ‘Shema Yisroel Hashem Elokeinu Hashem Echod,'” he said.
