Known halachic authority and Holocaust survivor Rabbi Menashe Klein has met one of his Lubavitcher friends when he returned to New York.
In the U.S. for a family simcha, Klein met with Rabbi Noach Fox of Crown Heights, member of Agudath Harabonim and a close friend for almost 25 years.
Fox presented the rabbi with a new volume of Chassidus Mevueres on Tefilah with discourses by the Alter Rebbe, Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi.
Rabbi Klein said he was “impressed” with its detail and work and was happy that it came out in time for Yud Tes Kislev, the liberation day of the Alter Rebbe.
He went on further to recall how he attended the first Siyum Hashas the Rebbe held on 24 Teves 1950 and the first Farbrengen the Rebbe held for Yud Tes Kislev after assuming leadership of Lubavitch.
He also inquired about the Crown Heights community and the state of its rabbis, and said he looks forward to testing the Chabad’s Smicha program in Morristown later this year.
