Israel’s Minister of Communications and Minister of Welfare & Social Services Moshe Kachlon visited the Rebbe‘s Ohel gravesite in Old Montefiore cemetery in Queens on Friday.
Kachlon came to the U.S. for a week’s visit, during which he will visit Jonathan Pollard, the American serving life in a federal prison in North Carolina for spying for Israel.
He decided to begin his working visit by davening at the Ohel and asking for the Rebbe’s blessing, said Chabad askan R’ Zalman Wolf who coordinated the visit.
Greeting them at Ohel Chabad-Lubavitch house was Rabbi Binyomin Klein, a member of the Rebbe’s secretariat, who also walked them in to the Ohel.
Following the prayers, the Likud member, his wife and entourage sat down for breakfast and a discussion about the Rebbe and Chabad activities in Israel and around the world.
Rabbi Klein shared with them behind-the-scenes anecdotes from Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin‘s meeting with the Rebbe in 770 Eastern Parkway.
At some point, one of the guests asked a question that Rabbi Klein did not want to answer.
“When the Rebbe accepted me to the mazkirus, he told me in the ‘job interview’ that he can’t not make me see things because I have eyes, and cannot stop me from listening because I have ears, but I have control over my mouth and what I see or hear I should not repeat.”
looks to me like lemonade!
I’m surprised that they used “Minute Made” orange juice, as there is a question about it’s Pareve status. It is Pasteurized on dairy equipment under ‘Tirangle -K” ????
Rabbi Klein is a true servant of the Rebbe not serving any personal causes but only the Rebbe and klal yisroel. May you be blessed with Arichus yomim vshonim tovim.
may he be freed!
the answer is private, but surely we can be told the question!
who else would sit down to such a heimish breakfast?
they could have at least set up on china!
