This week, Mayanot had the privilege of welcoming Rabbi Joseph I. Gutnick, its founding chairman and steadfast supporter, to the newly established Mayanot World Center.
Rabbi Gutnick, a renowned philanthropist and dedicated advocate for Jewish education, has long been a driving force behind initiatives that strengthen Torah learning, chassidus, and Jewish continuity. His unwavering commitment and generosity have touched countless lives, and his visit was a deeply meaningful moment for the students studying at Mayanot.
During his visit, Rabbi Gutnick was given a tour of the new facility by Rabbi Shlomo Gestetner and Rabbi Kasriel Shemtov, where he met Mayanot’s exceptional students and shared words of encouragement and gratitude.
Opening his remarks with heartfelt thanks to G-d, he expressed deep appreciation for the privilege of being the Rebbe’s emissary in supporting the integrity of the Land of Israel.
He urged the students to continue growing in their learning and Yiddishkeit, and in the future, to take part in furthering the mission of Mayanot.
Despite challenges—including the COVID-19 pandemic, financial hurdles, and Israel’s recent conflicts—the dream of a new home for Torah learning and outreach for Chabad in the center of Jerusalem has become a reality.
Mayanot extends its deepest gratitude to Rabbi Gutnick for his unwavering support of the Rebbe’s vision and shlichus in Jerusalem and for Jewish education worldwide.
