A sign of the amazing times in which we live! Not only that a person’s finger can be restored, but also the function!! We have entered the time of our redemption as the Rebbe told us.

I don't know if the joints bend

I don’t know if they bend at will whenever he thinks about it like his other finger do.
One day they will have that, G-d willing, but I don’t know if that day is here, yet.

It is striking that immediately prior to his being shot, Rabbi Goldstein washed his hands in preparation for the Yizkor service at his Shul. Without knowing it consciously, it seemed as though he was preparing for his Kiddish HaShem and in particularly making pure the body part which would served as the vessel for it! May Rabbi Goldstein recover completely and may he continue to serve as a great inspiration for many years to come!
