This is too painful. Why? Not fair!
Gershon is a gem, his shoulder held so many people’s tears with grace compassion and kindness unparalleled anywhere else.

R’ Gershon was a shtarke chosid. One thing that always stood out for me was his extreme seriousness for chitas and rambam. Every shabbos i would see how he davened, and made sure to finish all the shiurim.

An Amazing Person!
March 29, 2020 9:10 pm

He had a kind nature and was very lucky to have the Hechts as his models.
His wife and family should find the comfort they need.
Moshiach Now!!

He was such a special man

Most people would never hear of the Chesed that he did for people. He did it quietly and discreetly without ever drawing attention to himself or to the one receiving it. The name Yedei Chesed is the perfect name for the organization he directed. He was a Mentch who believed in Hashem with a fiery simplicity. He helped me through some of the toughest times in my life. You are loved and will always be missed. If he were still alive I know he would tell people “Use me as an example and stay at home!” Ad mosai!

I am a witness of this

He helped me through some of my toughest times as well. He gave me many hours and wise advice for how to help my special needs child and get her what she needs. Not because I live in Monsey or because my child is a part of his programs. We don’t even live there. Just because he cared. I will miss him.

A Powerhouse of a Man

This is so painful and raw. Really no words.

Reb Gershon was a true Chosid who went way beyond the call of duty for his fellow yid. He was a tremendous Dugma Chaya for all and never gave less than his best. He will be sorely missed.

I can’t believe he’s no longer among the living. Hashem please save us and bring an end to this bitter golus!

Wonderful Great Person

He was such a special man

I spent many Shabbosim in his home and got to witness firsthand the type of person he is behind closed doors. He spends his free time learning all day long when he wasn’t helping people indiscriminately. He had a heart of gold and was a living example of what it means to be a chosid and a mentch. I leanred many things from him including how to conduct a proper pesach seder. He had a fiery simplicity in his avodah and did it rain or shine. He also is the composer of a song many people sing on shabbos “It… Read more »

Gershon was emess. No bluff. No fluff.
