Rabbi Eliezer Daniel Meyers, who served as a Shliach of the Rebbe in Holland, passed away on Shabbos, 23 Av, 5775.
He was 76.
In recent years he had been living in Jerusalem.
He is survived by his wife Miriam and children Rabbi Pinchos Meyers – Antwerp, Belgium, Rabbi Dovid Eliyahu Meyers – Jerusalem, Mrs. Sarah Nemenow – Brunoy, France, Rabbi Mendel Meyers – Crown Heights, and Rabbi Ezra Emanuel Meyers – Beitar Illit, Israel.
He is also survived by his sister, Mrs. Miriam Hyams – Stamford Hill, London.
The levaya took place in Jerusalem on Motzei Shabbos.

Dr. Professor Meijers was a Social anthropologist, one of the few people that the Rebbe told to become a professor. He was a writer and wrote many books on anthropolagy. (His book about chassidim was on the Rebbes shelf in his room until gimul Tammuz). Although he was not an official sheliach, he was the first Lubavitcher in Holland always ready to do whatever the Rebbe directed him to do.
