Boruch Dayan Ha’emes
His tapes were a part of my childhood
Boruch Dayan HaEmes. The world lost a special gem. Rabbi Burston’s ability to transmit pure yiras shamayim and chassidishe values through his story telling was one of kind. As an adult I attribute much of my bitachon in times of challenge to the lessons gleaned from his stories of simple yiddishe emunah. May his neshama have an aliya
My children grew up on his stories and wonderful lessons! Boruch Dayan HoEmes
Wishing Warm Condolences & Strength to all the Burston family.
Love, Hessel & Miriam Kessler & family
We owe rabbi Burston a big hakoras hatov for recording his many stories of tzadikim for our children to grow up with.
He left beautiful children who are doing Hashem and the Rebbe’s Shluchus.
His wife, yblcht, was my teacher, full of life, BH.
Boruch Dayan Haemes. May his myriads of children/Talmidim continue under the guidance of his Torah messages of inspiration. Moshiachnow
I grew up on his tapes. And my children listen to his stories every night! There’s nothing like it! Infuses so much yiras shamayim.
What a treasure of a man. Thank you for my childhood
It’s like we’ve all lost our favorite zaidy. Rabbi Burston brought up generations of our children . So many kids go to sleep at night listening to Rabbi Burston and hold his hashpa in their hearts and actions. Rabbi Burston really left his mark in this world and will be sorely missed. We are fortunate to have been good friends with the Burston family going back to their days on President St. The most warm spirited yashar family full of life and love, music, joy and humor. We really value our friendship. Our hearts go out to you. Hashem should… Read more »

He also made music tapes of the Oholei Torah boys singing e
This is so sad; I still have the Rebbe Notes from 25 years ago he sent to my son;)
Yes we lost a gem.
Condolences to the family.
I cannot agree more with the above sentiments.
what an amazing storytellor. Infused such Yiras Shomayim, hours of entertainment, and knowledge.
May all these zechusim bring his Neshama an Aliyah to the greatest hights.

“And his face turned red… like a tomato!!!”
“And he was sent to the… gas station!!!”
Best childhood memories def. His stories!
May his neshama have the ultimate Aliya, = the ‘Yerida’ to come back down here together with Moshiach now!!
His story tapes were a light in my childhood.
Every night. I knew no matter how hard my day was , at the end of it I would be able to listen to a tape. What a legacy he is leaving in this world.
Thank you Rabbi Burston.
Like Rabbi Josh Gordon, Rabbi Burston will continue to inspire and teach generations to come from Gan-Eden!
I had a very rough childhood. And if not for rabbi Burton’s stories, which I listened to almost EVERY night for years, I really don’t know if I would be where I am today. They comforted me when nothing else was able to. They took my mind off of the world and into the realm of calm and relaxation, and besides for the tremendous emotional help it gave me, I also gained a lot of yesodos in living a frum and chassidishe life, and thats all thanks to this giant of a man. May his neshama have one Aliya after… Read more »

Los Angeles lost a precious gem.
Besides his amazing story tapes, his house was an open and warm house that all were welcome. We had many Farbrengens there and may the entire family have the true nechama through the coming of Moshiach Now
I was a bochur who enjoyed many a wonderful Shabbos meal in his house.
This was my childhood, he brought out the stories in such interesting and interactive way. It’s hard to put up words for it.
He was the grandfather I never met, but constantly heard….
I didn’t know your husband so well, but what I DID know was the amazing tapes with several volumes of the Chabad nigunim he orchestrated years ago. They were/are rich, deep, and compelling. Your husband was a real pnimi as evidenced by these amazing nigunim with his adaptive unique melodies. Recently I was listening to one of these tapes. the Poltava melody May you and your family be comforted among the mourners of Jerusalem.
