What everyone can learn from this family of Hechts is that when children are brought up with true Yiras Shomayim (no shtick when it comes to yiddishkeit), you can have special children who make a mark on this world-Hashem put us in.

It was a privilege to be the Rabbi’s secretary for almost forty years . His smile and words encouraged all to be their best. He will be greatly missed.

BTW, the caption under the first picture does not mention that behind Avrohom Hecht is his brother Moshe Hecht, a”h.

Rabbi Abraham Hecht was my Rabbi in shaare Zion since I was a young teen. I attended his classes sitting up in the woman’s section, while I was the only girl there and the men were down in the dome. We used to walk home after words and just spoke about things in general. He always had a beautiful smile on his face. He was content with his life. I will truly miss him..

The community will now need to live with a great void. He was not just a great rabbi he was my friend, a true inspiration for all toughs for crossed his path. I received such comfort from him as I visited him in the nursing home. He loved us, he loved us all. May Gd grant his children long live and the abilities to spread actor ah through out the world.
