Responding to a renewed effort to interview Mazkirim, senior Shluchim and others with major interaction with the Rebbe, Rabbi Yoel Kahan, the Rebbe’s chief chozer, and Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky, the Rebbe’s secretary and secretary of Lubavitch’s three central Mosdos, sat down for a 3-hour videotaped session.
A clip of Reb Yoel’s interview, featuring his observations from the year 1951 — as the Rebbe was formally taking the helm of the Chabad Lubavitch movement — appeared in this week’s Living Torah.
According to Rabbi Yechiel Cagen, the project leader, this summer will see a renewed push to interview “high value persons” who have especially unique and deep experiences to share.
Mazkirim, senior Shluchim, older Chassidim, and anyone with an especially rich interaction with the Rebbe — these are all people we want to hear from. If for nothing else, we need to hear from them for our children’s’ sake.”

Why dont they interveiw Rabbi Groner as well?
Rabbi krinsky once burned his face while standing with t rebbe at the Ohel. It must have been one of those propane heaters. Anyhow, the rebbe blessed him that heshoul not have a scar which all the doctors said he would.
It happens to resemble the Rebbe’s holy face.
A true chosid.
I AGREE 100%
amzaing work!!! what a priveleige!!!
Where’s r’ hershel chitriks home? President or eastern parkway? Or at dome other locaition?
Either way, is it true that the rebbe gave rabbi krinsky a brocho for hadros ponim,
Cause if he did, he is certainley blessed with one. I don’t know there is something about those eyes, his gaze, his beautifully tucked in beard. He looks so smart.
On the side, reb yoel, I love him. May he have arichus yomim vshonim toivois even lmaloh min hameshuar.
Nice taina, but it makes no sense! The Frierdiker Rebbe said that if his campaign to increase the belief in the imminent coming of Moshiach will diminish in the planning of even one more building for a Talmud Torah or the like, then the entire campaign can be considered WORTHLESS! Learn the Rebbe’s Sichos (such as tu bshvat 5741 and others), don’t blame your ignorance on “Chassidishe feelings”…
#8 What you say is contrary to the Rebbe’s opinion throughout. The Rebbe was a real realist. that’s not a contradiction to a real believer… its something many don’t understand.. big mistake..(by the way, do you plan your vacations ahead of time?)
#9 I heard that its Rabbi Hirshel Chitrik’s house. Many JEM interviews are conducted there.
gooooo Margolin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please interview them for more than 3 hours.
They encountered with the rebbe,
more than just 3 hours worth of interview material.
Either way, I like the house! Whose is it R’ Yoel’s or R K’s?
I like the way rabbi K looks, he has such a hadras ponim. Sharp man.
I bet u he knows that as well.
May moshiach come already, and there will be no need anymore for such interviews.
May reb yoel and reb krinsky live for a very long life.
Thanks to JEM!
Moshiach is coming any moment. We will see the Rebbe again. What is this about spending such energy and money on the past when we know the future is coming. All this talk about “Hurry, hurry…” What kind of emunah is that? “We need it for the children…” Huh? What do we need? A museum? Moshiach is coming and the history of the future is at our door. Tell me, I need to know, does this mean even those who proclaim the Rebbe IS moshiach, that these very people really don’t believe it? So then where are we heading –… Read more »
is Jem funded greatly or was founded by Krinskys son??
do not delay
I agree with #4. These people need to be interviewed for hundreds of hours not just three. You are talking about people who have been with and around the Rebbe for decades and have witnessed tremendous, uplifting, insightful etc. encounters with our Rebbe that is so important to film and have documented. Thank you JEM!
These are the ppl we need to interview!! Not to exclude the others, but someone like R yoel and Rabbi K need to be interviewed for hundreds of hours, LITERALLY. Kudos JEM!
What an amazing project from JEM. This is such a powerful way of bringing the real feel of the Reebe to us and everyone else. Thank you JEM for being so committed to this.
Big Yasher Koach to Rabbi Yechiel Cagen and the entire JEM staff. Keep up the good work.
