R’ Yoel Aronson, a member of the Belz community in Monsey, NY, passed away on 22 Tammuz, 5780.
He was 84.
R’ Aronson was known as a supporter of many Chabad and Belz institutions and organizations. He was big Baal chesed and baal Tzedakah who helped expand eruvim, Mikvaos and yeshivas.
He was born in Saratoga Springs, NY, where he helped establish a Jewish community. He then moved to Crown Heights, and had an open home for many guests. Lately, he was a resident of Monsey, NY.
He is survived by his wife, Chaya Sara, and children, Miriam Klein, Boruch Aronson, from Monsey, NY, Denise, from Boston, Massachusetts, Andy from Colorado, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Shiva will take place at 12 Jeffrey Place, Monsey, NY, from 10 am – 4 pm.

Always greeted everyone with such a warm smile. He should be a meilitz yosher to his entire family. Moshiach NOW.
Boruch dayan emes. He made my daughter’s shidduch — one of many, I’m sure. In conjunction with the shluchim, he helped to mekarev me — and, no doubt, many others. His mitzvot were accomplished quietly, with tznius. He stood out as a model of what a Jew and a true ba’al teshuvah should be.
