How fortunate was I to have grown up in Montreal. (And have Rev Moshe Chaim certify my birth and marriage)

His smile
September 16, 2014 2:53 am

His smile on the way into school every morning made me feel like a million dollars and would make my day every single time. He didn’t even know me, a little girl walking in to school but he would smile at me like I have him the greatest nachos in the world.

What an amazing Rov, Chosid, Shochet, Tzadik, to name a few, Rabbi Sapochinsky was. Growing up in Montreal, I had the Zechus to see a true Dugma Chaya of what a Chosid needs to be: non-judgmental, being humble, Yira Shomayim, making another yid happy, Kesser Shem Tov, etc. He was a true inspiration to many people in Montreal and beyond!

We have a lot to learn from his dear & devoted wife who took such special care of him until his last breath on this earth!
Montreal has lost a real Tzaddik & the sweetest man! Even as Rabbi Sapo’s health was failing he made sure to go daven with a Minyan!( another thing we can learn…….)
Vehokitzu Veraninu Shoichnei Offor Vehu Besoichom!

Rabbi Moshe Chaim with his kind smile, pleasant friendly approach fulfilled his role to make this world a better place. He always looked on the positive side, and accepting all challenges. He raised a beautiful family with wonderful children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family oriented, Moshe Chaim with his wife Leya and daughter Chana travelled to Boston for our wedding sixty years ago. What a beautiful memory. The twin boys, the newly born great grandchildren should bring the family consolation at this time. Boruch Dayan Emes. Mottel and Chana Sharfstein

Tzadik
September 15, 2014 9:34 am

A true and complete Tzadik in every way.
Rabbi Sapochinsky was my neighbor all my growing years. His special smile always coming through made everyone’s day feel so special!
Great humility, optimism, true inner happiness , unconditional kindness, sincere Yidishkeit were just a few of his remarkable
qualities.
Always very eager to do a favor and how much Hanoah he had doing it!
Even as a little child I remember him making me feel like a million dollars plus!
A priceless gem!

What Rabbi Saposhkinsky left within two hours of his passing, really sums up his whole life! Made sure to leave a double celebration behind and distract everyone from his own passing
by spreading the good news! Only for others to the last minute!
This truly explains what a Tsaddik is! and I thought one can only read this in a book to inspire…
May Rabbi Saposhkinsky continue to leave many blessings to his loved ones and klal Yisroel
