R’ Mordechai Kopman, a young husband and father from Buffalo, New York, passed away on Sunday, 18 Nissan, 5780.
He was 34.
R’ Motti was battling a terrible illness in the past few years, and more recently was infected with coronavirus.
This morning, sadly, he passed away.
He was a beloved husband and devoted father, and had a truly good heart, his friend said.
He is survived by his wife, Chanie (nee Litzman) and 5 young children.
He is also survived by his parents, Moshe and Gila Kopman of Jeusalem, and siblings Rabbi Yitzchok Kopman – Grodno, Belarus, Esty Cohen – Florida, Yael Schneider – Beitar Illit, Israel, Yisrael Kopman – Buffalo, NY, Brochi Erentrau – Lod, Israel, Yossi Kopman – Buffalo, NY, Devorah Leah Kaduri – Buffalo, NY, Mendel Kopman – Buffalo, NY.

We, buffalonians, are devastated by his passing as he was true chosid and unbelievably kind person ready to help everybody.
It is horrifying even to think what a strike it is for his family.
There are no words. He was the kindest, sweetest person. What a terrible loss and tragedy for the family and our community

Motty is 34 years old. He was a healthy strong man until 7 months ago, right before Rosh Hashanah.

We are shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic loss of Motti. He was a genuine, ehrlich, warmhearted soldier of the Rebbe. Always had a kind word, easy smile, and ready hand to help another Yid.
