So privileged to have known R.Meir.
Remember eating in the Succah in Yerushalayim years ago🌺 such an honor
I was a classmate with Yanky A”H. Like his Father Reb Meir was a wonderful person. His personality and character was exemplary to all. Kind honest gracias and always welcoming with a beautiful smile. I was never surprised by Yanki’s warmth and kindness. After he invited me to his home. I didn’t live in crown Heights. So he took me in. His Father was an amazing Yid. We will all miss R’ Meir. A true Chosid, Yira Shamiem and a Lamdan. I merited to eat at his Shabbos table with his Rebbetzin Batsheva A”H countless times as a Bocur and his love and Simcha for Torah and the Kedusha of Shabbos can still be felt in my bones all these years later. The world has lost a great light, may his family have a Nechomah.

R meir ztza”l was an outstanding talmid chochom and a real chasidishe yid, always smiling and saying a gut vort to everyone and what a great machnis orach he was. They don’t make such people anymore, he was rare. May his neshama have an alya.
We just saw this, we’re so very sorry to read of the passing of Reb Meir. So many memories from “Little 770” Montgomery Street shul. Reb Meir was a legend in the shul, always there, and always so kind and warm to everyone.
May his Neshama have an aliyah.
