R’ Chaim Meir Rosenberg, a longtime resident of Crown Heights, passed away on Friday, 12 Tishrei, 5780.
He was 93.
R’ Rosenberg was of Viznitz background, and originally lived in Canarsie, Brooklyn. He moved with his wife and 2 children to Crown Heights approximately 35 years ago.
He worked in the diamond district for most of his life, and was a long-time member at Agudah Shul in Crown Heights.
In later years he davened at 770 Montgomery Street.
He was known for his friendly and gentle demeanor, good sense of humor, and as someone who greeted everyone B’sever Panim Yafos.
His wife passed away a number of years ago.
The levaya will take place tomorrow, Sunday at Shomrei Hadas in Boro Park at 9 am.

He was a real mentsch “fun der heim” & was proud of his chassidisher roots.
He was a Baal Tzedoko to all who asked.
We will miss him in Shul.
A very sweet man who always warmly greeted me and my wife when we saw him on Montgomery st.
A wonderful man with wonderful children! You could see it on his face.
