R’ Ariel Tzadik, a resident of the Bayit VeGan is a neighborhood in southwest Jerusalem, was killed in the Mount Meron tragedy on Thursday night, 18 Iyar 5781.

Ariel was described by friends as a devoted Lubavitcher chossid who was passionate about doing the Rebbe’s Mivtzoim and would dedicate each Friday to helping fellow Jews out on Tefillin.
With close proximity to Mount Hertzel, where official state events often take place, Ariel would go there and help Jews connect with Hashem through prayer.
Last night, he was one of the many hundreds of thousands of Jews who traveled to Meron to celebrate Lag BaOmer, yartzeit of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochei (Rashbi).
He was tragically killed in the massive stanmpede that cost the lives of over 45 people and injured over 100 people of all ages. The deaths have shocked Israel and the Jewish world.
His funeral is set to take place on Motzoei Shabbos.
