no, heart attack and cardiac arrest are not the same thing. A heart attack is also known as myocardial infarction. That means that blood flow is interrupted to a certain part of the heart. Cardiac arrest means that the heart stops beating entirely.

sefer published
January 1, 2016 12:04 am

the rebbe was the publisher of multiple seforim in his positions as chairman of kehos, merkos and machaneh. He also was the (unofficial) publisher of hatomim, as can be seen in the frierdiger rebbes igros vol. 15.
i imagine the question was regarding the second sefer OF THE REBBE published, in which case the pocket encyclopedia came first, as above mentioned

If the Rebbe attributed his non-attendance to a lack of Ahavas Yisroel, don’t come up with other ideas!

btw heart attack and cardiac arrest are the same thing!

FROM DAY TO DAY

The Rebbe’s first Sefer FROM DAY TO DAY wasn’t only for children, it was also sent by the Rebbe to Jewish soldiers in the American Army (Igrois Kodesh of the Rebbe page 219), and to individuals by instruction of the Frierdiker Rebbe (Igrois Kodesh of the Rebbe page 254).

Hayom Yom is the SECOND Sefer

Re question 5: The FIRST Sefer of the Rebbe is an English booklet (same size as the original Hayom Yom) entitled: FROM DAY TO DAY – young scholar’s pocket encyclopedia. Even though it doesn’t say the Rebbe’s name on the title page, the Frierdiker Rebbe writes (on 18 Cheshvan 5703): “my son in law [the Rebbe] toiled and worked hard to put together the [abovementioned] luach”. The Rebbe writes (18 Cheshvan 5704) about the second volume: “I finished the English luach last week”. On 4 Cheshvan 5703 the Rebbe wrote about this “luach”: it made a tremendous impression and it’s… Read more »

first sefer
December 31, 2015 9:12 am

If I’m not mistaken there was another sefer (in the style of hayom Yom but in English for kids) published by the Rebbe before hayom Yom so that makes hayom Yom the second sefer..
