Over 175 men, women and children joined Chabad of Flatbush for an exciting Purim in the ‘Moshiach Jungle’.
Attendees found themselves in a tree filled hall with a ferocious lion and tame lamb dwelling peacefully together – just like in Moshiach’s times!
The evening began with Megillah reading by Rabbi Zalman Liberow, Shliach in Flatbush, accompanied by a special children’s narration.
A scrumptious African buffet was enjoyed by all with a special children’s rally coordinated by Rabbi Dovber Bryski.
And then the fun began! Drummer Robert Friedman wowed the crowd with his talent and then turned the audience into performers with children and adults alike receiving their own drums and beating away in true Purim spirit.
In the midst of the excitement a performance was shown, demonstrating how the lion and lamb dwelling peacefully together is really practical: when Moshiach arrives there will be no more arguing and fighting and everyone will live in harmony. He also suggested to the children to begin to act peacefully now to bring Moshiach closer!
The evening concluded with Purim music by Levi Ginsberg and lively dancing lasting into the late hours of the evening.
