It was a literal recreation of an Eastern European Shtetel, as Hollywood, Florida was host to Purim in the Shtetel.
Located on the breathtaking campus of Chabad of Northeast Hollywood, this Purim Experience, attended by over 300 men, women, and children, included horse and buggy rides, a petting zoo, a fiddler on the roof, many Tevyes, Zlatas and Goldas, the Algeimeiner Journal at each table, and other Shtetel props and backdrops, wine tasting, Eastern European foods at a lavish banquet, and a fun filled afternoon and evening with Purim delicacies galore.
Coordinated by Rabbi Mendy and Endi Tennenhaus, Purim in the Shtetel was a joint project of Shul of the Lakes and Chabad of South Broward.
