Throughout the years, the Ten Yad annual auction has established itself as an evening of elegance and unity for women to gather in support of Hachnasas Kallah. The decor was always impeccable, the food delicious, and the program brimming with toichen.
For the past few weeks, Ten Yad has been working with Executive Producer, Davidi Crombie and his incredible teams, vendors and performers to produce the most spectacular event that has ever been held in the Jewish world.
This year, in response to COVID restrictions, Ten Yad is going global!
For the very first time, Ten Yad’s event will be open to the general public. Men, women and children the entire world over and invited to tune in to an exhilarating evening of entertainment and inspiration.
This brand new format will give Ten Yad the opportunity to showcase the important work that they do to a wider audience, involving more people in this incredible mitzvah than ever before.
The performance will be nothing short of magical.
For the first time ever in the Jewish world of virtual entertainment, Avraham Fried will take the stage along with a 60 piece Philharmonic Orchestra. Fried’s Israeli musical director, Yuval Stupel has been composing the all-new arrangements that will be debuted at the Tenathon. “My musical director, Yuval Stupel, will be conducting this musical masterpiece,” said Fried. “He sends me clips every day of the musicians rehearsing and new arrangements, everyone is really looking forward to this event.”
Musicians hailing from both Israel and the Freilich Band in America have spent the last 3 months rehearsing over zoom, which, although quite challenging, has been producing marvelous effects.
Over the course of the musical portion of the evening, world-famous Shulem Lemmer and rising star Eli Marcus will make appearances as well, with soul-stirring melodies that are sure to amaze you.
Interspersed throughout the show-stopping symphony will be words of inspiration given by Rabbi Y.Y. Jacobson and Rabbi Charlie Harary.
“We invite you to join us for an evening that is the first of its kind in the entertainment world as we show up for brides and grooms worldwide,” said Crombie. “The Tenathon is more than an auction, more than a performance, and more than an evening of inspiration. It is the best elements of each fused together into one unforgettable evening containing the most fascinating 5 hours that show business has ever seen, all in support of a great cause.”
Hosting a live auction during such an elaborate performance is a mission as complex as it is thrilling. An extensive amount of international coordination will be necessary to ensure that all communication is crystal clear, and that the transitions between the multiple systems and servers is seamless.
With a global reach comes enormous responsibility. Ten Yad is taking great care to represent who they are while abiding by the highest standards of tznius as dictated by the Rebbe. All featured media will be presented in a modest and tasteful manner.
Additionally, while hosting the event virtually does eliminate many of the safety concerns, there are still many that remain to be dealt with.
The Tenathon is taking great care to adhere to the guidelines set forth by the NYC Health Department by ensuring safe social distancing between all performers, musicians, crew members and cameramen throughout the duration of the event.
The Mega-Charity giving event will take place on Sunday, November 8.
