Students of 3rd grade at Rabbinical College of Canada – Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim Lubavitch in Montreal learned close to 10,000 lines of Tanya Baal Peh.
It was part of a learning project done to honor the Rebbe‘s 117th birthday on Yud Aleph Nissan.
To honor their accomplishment, the boys received a pocket-size Tanya with the Moreh Shiur showing the portion of the Chitas daily study.
The gift was presented to them by R’ Avrohom Boyarsky, a member of the Chabad community and professor of mathematics at Concordia University in Montreal.
Professor Boyarsky told the boys that the Alter Rebbe wrote the Tanya because he couldn’t have a Yechidus (private meeting) with everyone. “Therefore, when you learn Tanya, you should remember that it’s like having a Yechidus with the Alter Rebbe!”
