The team behind the highly anticipated ‘Nafshi’ event visited Kings Theater in Brooklyn on Tuesday, as they prepare for the event which will celebrate the auspicious day of Yud Tes Kislev this Sunday.
The lineup for the night includes well-known artists such as Avraham Fried, Eitan Katz, Beri Weber, and Alex Clare, as well as respected rabbis Eli Mansour, Judah Mischel, Shais Taub, and Moshe Weinberger, bringing a night rich in Niggunim and song.
The proceeds from the ‘Nafshi’ event will support Colel Chabad’s initiatives, particularly their work aiding displaced families in Israel during the current war.
Joining the tour of the stunning theater was Rabbi Sholom Duchman, Executive Director of Colel Chabad, Rabbi Sruli Duchman, Rabbi Efraim Duchman, Rabbi Zalman Duchman and Musical Producer Avram Zamist.
“I’ve seen magnificent places in my life, but this theater is extraordinary,” said Rabbi Sholom Duchman. “Yes, there was a big battle, and it was all worth it because this place is spectacular,” he said, referencing a recent obstacle which the event organizers faced in securing the venue, but has since been resolved.
Rabbi Duchman said they have also met with the NYPD, Mayor Eric Adams’s office, as well as the event security team, to discuss the security measures in place for the event.
“Join us and come celebrate together for an extraordinary and uplifting evening. This will be one of the nicest Yud Tes Kislev Farbrengens that ever took place in the history of Yud Tes Kislev,” said Rabbi Duchman.
